The Career Development Initiative is pleased to invite all graduate students and postdocs to the first of many talks lined up this semester. Our first talk is geared towards exploring the diverse careers that are available to Scientists.
Dr. Green will discuss common challenges for PhDs looking for careers outside of academia, how to overcome these challenges, and the numerous resources that are available to Berkeley students. We encourage everyone to attend, especially those curious about the rich opportunities outside of academia.
Dr. Green is one of two counselors that specialize in career guidance for graduate students and has give talks across the country on a variety of topics concerning career development. Having received his PhD in Political Science from Berkeley, he has first-hand knowledge of the issues confronting graduate students approaching the job market and will be an excellent resource.
