Daniel Rokhsar received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1987.
After a postdoc at the IBM Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights,
he joined the faculty at UC Berkeley in 1989, and became full professor
in 1999. He has been a Sloan Foundation Fellow, NSF Presidential Young
Investigator, and Miller Professor. In 1996 he joined the Life Sciences
Division at LBNL, and he is currently the Head of the Computational and
Theoretical Biology Department in the Physical Biosciences Division.
