Physics at Berkeley Attracts Thousands of People on Cal Day
Temperatures in the high 80s didn’t stop people from enjoying the many offerings on Cal Day this year. From “SQUIDS (not the 10-legged kind)” to “Physics for Future Presidents”, the family-friendly lectures were popular destinations, as were the Hands-On Physics experiments that entertained kids and adults alike throughout the day. Likewise, people flocked to the Marketplace of the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics to meet Nobel Laureate George Smoot.
If you’ve never been part of Cal Day, we hope you’ll come by the department next April. And to those of you who paid us a visit in the Hospitality Suite, we were delighted to see you!
