| Details: | The ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider are getting close to either observing the long-sought Higgs boson or excluding it’s existence, at least for the simplest model. Some think that hints of its existence have already been observed. I will present, in the context of the ATLAS experiment, the status of our search, how likely it is that we could have a discovery in 2012, and, if not, how the Higgs boson, if indeed it exists, might have “escaped” observation. |
