Physics is pleased to announce that Yasunori Nomura has been named as the new Director of the Berkeley Center for Theoretical Physics (BCTP) as of December 2015. He follows Petr Horava, who served as director from 2010 - 2015, and Lawrence Hall, who was director from the Center's inception, from 2000 - 2010.

The BCTP has developed into a vibrant research group within Berkeley Physics. Faculty, students and postdocs collaborate on some of the most pressing scientific questions about the Universe. A big "Thank You" goes out to Professor Horava for his hard work as director, and a warm welcome to Professor Nomura as he becomes the next to hold this important post!
