Using the effect of magnetic dichroism, PEEM obtains element-specific magnetic domain images. The above figure shows that the Co magnetization aligns the stripe domain direction of the Fe/Ni film. We perform PEEM measurements at the PEEM-II beamline of the Advanced Light Source.
