Luca Chirolli is a Marie Sklodowska Curie fellow in the group of Prof. J. Moore at Berkeley and the SQEL at CNR Nano in Pisa. He received his degree in physics from Bologna Alma Mater in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Konstanz in 2010. He worked as a postdoc at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid and Imdea Nanoscience in Madrid.
Research InterestsMy research interests are in an area at the crossover between condensed matter, nanoscience, optical physics and quantum information. The study of hybrid systems offers the great opportunity to design emerging coherent phenomena and topological phases of matter, where properties of different subsystems or materials contribute together to give birth to novel paradigma. Particular focus is on superconductivity and topological states of matter, both from a fundamental and an applied point of view. This field benefits from a large amount of experiments where novel ideas can be tested and realized. A complete list of publications can be found at arXiv.
