Dr. Sandeep Jauhar is a cardiologist and director of the Heart Failure Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. After graduating from Berkeley with a Ph.D. in physics, Jauhar went to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. He has written three books: Intern and Doctored are medical memoirs, and his newest, Heart: A History, was named by NPR as one of the best science books of 2018 and was the PBS Newshour's book-of-the month. He writes regularly for The New York Times, and his work has been featured in TIME, The Wall Street Journal and the New England Journal of Medicine.
