Ming Yi is APS Young Scientist Prize Winner

Berkeley Physics is pleased to announce that Dr. Ming Yi has been selected as this year's APS Young Scientist Prize (YSP) winner “for her fundamental contributions in understanding electronic and magnetic order and dynamics in quantum materials, including iron-based superconductors.” This makes her the single best young person in the world in the broad field of Condensed Matter Physics.

Dr. Yi is a postdoctoral scientist in condensed matter physics at UC Berkeley in the Robert Birgeneau group, who will begin as an assistant professor at Rice University in January 2019. She was awarded the L'Oréal Women in Science Fellowship in 2015, and honored as a Spicer Investigator in July of 2018.
