Bruno Zumino, Doctor Degree, University of Rome 1945, Professor at U.C. Berkeley since 1982. Member, National Academy of Sciences; Fellow, American Academy of Arts and Sciences; Fellow, American Physical Society; Dirac Medal 1987, Heineman Prize 1988, Max-Planck Medal 1989, Wigner Medal 1992, Humboldt Research Award 1992, Gian Carlo Wick Commemorative Gold Medal 1999. Zumino has been a Miller Professor and twice a Guggenheim Fellow. Zumino officially retired in 1994, but he is still active in research and teaching. At present (summer 2001) he is supervising the Ph.D. thesis research of two graduate students.
