December 11, 2023

Professors Mina Aganagic and Raphael Bousso

Berkeley Physics is delighted to announce that Professors Mina Aganagic and Raphael Bousso have each been granted a Miller Professorship award for the 2024-2025 academic year. Congratulations to them both!

The purpose of the Miller Professorship is to allow members of the U.C. faculty the opportunity to join the Institute's interdisciplinary community and to pursue new research directions. Appointees are encouraged to follow promising leads that may develop in the course of their research effort whether or not they fall within the original research outline. Miller Professors are also expected to participate in the Miller Institute's active community of scientists; in particular, they will interact with, and provide mentorship to, Miller Postdoctoral Research Fellows. Applications are judged competitively.

Miller Professorships are available only to members of the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley campus. It is also required that research be conducted on the Berkeley campus.
