Recent experimental and theoretical studies of level crossing processes in two step excitation of Cs atoms in an electric field, spectroscopy of Rb and Cs atoms in sub-micron optical cells subjected to an external magnetic field, Autler-Townes effect in Na_2 molecules and some other experiments will be discussed. Rate equation approach to an analysis of laser excitation of atoms in external fields will be compared with more often used Optical Bloch equation (Liouville equation) approach.(click here for webcast) |
