Berkeley Physics congratulates assistant professors Michael ZaletelGeoff Penington, and Matt Pyle on receiving Early Career Research Program Awards through the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science.

Michael Zaletelreceived the award for research on “Quantum simulation and state preparation for two-dimensional materials.”

Geoff Penington received the award for his project "Spacetime from Information"

Matt Pylereceived the award for his project “Developing TES with Sensitivity to meV Scale Excitations for Light Mass Dark Matter Searches and other Applications.”
