Abstract: The pandemic of Covid-19 has had an unprecedented impact on US society. This talk addresses the inequalities that the pandemic has revealed in our society specifically with respect to its disproportionate impact on African American communities.  The impact of the pandemic on race relations within scientific communities has also received renewed attention in the wake of the pandemic.
