Bio/CV:
Donez is a Ph.D. candidate working with Frances Hellman. His research is focused on understanding the nature of tunneling two-level systems and ultrastability in amorphous oxide thin-films. He is an active member of the Compass Project, a group of students dedicated to improving education for students historically excluded in the physical sciences, and he is one of the organizers of the Compass Lectures series. In his free time he enjoys playing bassoon and piano, and he plays bassoon in the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra.
