Ella Lachman

I am a postdoctoral scholar at the Quantum Materials Laboratory (a.k.a Analytis Group) in the Physics department at UC Berkeley. My research focuses on various magnetic phenomena in quantum materials such as Weyl semimetals and frustrated magnets.

Read my latest work on Co3Sn2S2 published in Nature Communications.

Research Interests Quantum Materials

Junsong Lin

Junsong Lin joined the McKinsey group at UC Berkeley physics in October 2016. He received a B.S. degree from Nankai University in China in 2012. His D. Phil. study was performed at University of Oxford in UK from 2012 to 2016, with the thesis on operating a photomultiplier tube at milli-Kelvin temperature for rare event searches.

Research Interests Junsong Lin is currently working on dark matter direct detection. He is a member of the LUX and the subsequent LZ collaboration, both dual-phase xenon experiments. He also works on R&D for the HeRALD experiment, a superfluid helium...

Yu-Ping Lin

Yu-Ping Lin joined the University of California, Berkeley as a Gordon and Betty Moore Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2022. Before joining Berkeley, he received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2022. Prior to the pursuit of Ph.D., he obtained his M.S. in Physics in 2016 and B.S. in Physics with Minor in Mathematics in 2014 at National Taiwan University.

I am interested in the novel nature of condensed matter systems involving topology/geometry, symmetry, interaction, singular density of states, and/or nonequilibrium (disorder and/or...
