Congratulations Matt Cambria! Lars Commins Award in Experimental Physics Winner.

Congratulations to Matt Cambria, winner of the Lars Commins Award in Experimental Physics!

Lars E. Commins, the younger son of Professor Eugene Commins and his wife Ulla, passed away after a long illness in 1997. Lars was an engineer with an interest in experimental physics, had many friends in the Physics department, and worked in the department for a time shortly before he died. His parents have endowed this award in his memory, and in the hope that it may help to perpetuate the strong tradition in experimental physics that has always existed in the Berkeley Physics Department. The Award comes with a $2,500 gift for the recipient.

Matt will be acknowledged as the winner of this award at the Physics Department 2025 Graduation Ceremony on Monday, May 19 at 7 PM in Zellerbach Auditorium.
